Welcome to MLP-ATG-Alumni!

This is a group dedicated to continuing the the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic themed arting madness begun over at Equestria Daily in the Newbie Artist Training Grounds (ATG, see?) by Blogprincess Phoe (who watches over us even now, like a mother hen. A mother hen waiting to be tied up by Lyra.)

We'll be posting a theme every Monday, and giving you until the following Sunday to make a picture relating to that theme and submit it to the gallery.

After every theme is completed we'll post a page to showcase everybody's entries for that week, so you can all check out each other's work.

We'll also be posting guides, setting up collaborations, linking waffle and pointing you at some pony art we love! We're an open group, so feel free to make suggestions on how we can change things to keep
it fun and interesting.

This group is open to anyone who wants to improve their art through the Magic of Ponies, not just folks who took part in the original ATG. All we ask is that you have a healthy love of the show My Little Pony; Friendship is Magic and a burning urge to draw some ponies of your own.

We don't mind if it's OC ponies, canon ponies, pony related ephemera, or videos of your modern interpretative pony dance. Actually, scratch that last one. All we want is for you to try your best at making some great pony art!

We're keeping this group tied to any art-related activities going on over at Equestria Daily, so when the new ATG starts up there, we'll put our themes on hold and help everypony out on the EqD ones instead.
No one wants pony-art burnout!
